Trumpeter Soviet UAZ-469 in 1:35 scale

Finished in 2013. Trumpeter did a great job with this kit. Even as an OOB build, it was enjoyable and came packed with plenty of detail. Detailing and fit are at a high standard.

Clear parts are included but the amber and red lenses need tinting, which was done with Future floor polish and food coloring dye. The chassis and engine were painted before joining with the body because it was easier to get to everything. It is marked for the Czech Army.

A canvas top is included with the kit but it was left off to show the interior. A complete engine and drivetrain are included. Foil was used for the mirrors.

The interior is faithful to the real thing and only lacks the floor mats. The instruments are molded with raised relief and can be painted or the kit decals applied. However, the decals would require the relief to be sanded off.
