AFV Club German Sturmmorser Tiger in 1:48 scale

This model represents the vehicle captured by the Soviets in 1945 that was examined and displayed at Kubinka, where it remains to this day. It has unique features that set it apart from other known Sturmmörsers.

Contributing parts came from a Tamiya Tiger I (early) kit, AFV Club Tiger I (early) tracks and Aber detailing sets 48043 & 48049. The remaining modifications were done using scratchbuilt parts.

The gun mantlet was removed and a new one made from styrene and Aves Apoxie Sculpt. The rifling inside is a design printed on paper. It was painted with Lifecolor paints. Various artists’ oil paints and pigments were used for weathering.
